So the hood itself is.... fine. It does its job. It's basic. It's hard to get wowed by a hood, you know? But the filters? Those are trash. They don't stay put and fall down if you look at them sideways. They drip grease like crazy, no matter if they were just cleaned or not. And finding replacements (or even just alternatives) is challenging. So based on the filters alone, I'd avoid this product unless GE can solve the filter issue.

This hood looks great and is working great after the first month. The buttons are clearly marked and easy to figure out. Suction is stronger than you would guess from the quiet sound. I prefer the control panel and sloped sides of this hood compared to another model I considered that had a flat base.

It's great at what it does. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it's strange that the light has 3 settings but one button. And the fan has 3 settings with 3 buttons. It's always confusing which I have to hit 3 times and which I have to find the off button for.
